How to create retro style underwater text effect

In this Photoshop Tutorial you will learn how to create an underwater Photo Manipulation using photoshop and a little 3D xara. I have used 3D Xara (version 6) to create the text. Creating the text in 3D xara is also discussed on this tutorial that includes, basic usage of photoshop tools, masking, brushing, and some blending techniques.

Final Result Preview:


Step 1:


Open 3D Xara. You can download free trial of 3D xara

Press Alt+T to open the text option window. Write FiSHY, change the font to Arial Black. Click OK


Step 2:


Go to the color options. Menu Bar > Options > Color. Choose the colors.


Step 3:


Go to the Shadow Options. Uncheck the shadow. Then go to the Bevel Options change it to rolled.


Step 4:


It will look something like this.


Step 5:


Change the angle of viewing. Then Go to File > Export. Change the "save type as" to *.png.


Step 6:


Export window will open. Under the Options, check Transparent and Interlace. Click Save.


Step 7:


Now open Photoshop. Open new file, size 1152*864px.


Step 8:


Place the texture in the background. Stretch it, if it doesn't fit.


Step 9:


Use Transformation Tool to adjust the rusty floor. Press Ctrl key to adjust it.


Step 10:


Take Erase Tool. Sixe 453, hardness 0%.
