In this Photoshop Tutorial we will learn how to create a cool, colorful floral 3D text effect with different photoshop tools such as brushes, transform tools... Without using any 3D program.

Step 1:

 

Create a new document with size 800x500 px and fill it with white.

 
 

Step 2:

 

New layer, choose Text tool, font Charlie Browns M54. I choose size 90 pt with 3 colors. First i use color 6a8af3 for the text "RNEL" then color ff79fd for the "DOT", color ff9c79 for the "NET".

 

Right click text layer, choose Rasterize Type:

 
 

Step 3:

 

Duplicate this layer. Choose Layer Copy, Apply Inner shadow:

 
 

Then hit Alt+(arrow up key) to "nudge up" this layer 6 times. Do 7 times for Alt+(arrow down key) to "nudge down" it.

We will have:

 
 

Step 4:

 

Merge all text layers. Come back to background, fill it with color b9dc1e (Choose Edit-Fill).

 
 

Step 5:

 

Create a new layer, choose Magic Wand Tool:

 

Click within the surface of the text "RNEL":

 

Hold the Shift key, click within the surface of "DOT" and "NET":

 

Then choose floral swirl brush, number 2484 , color is white with 90 px and settings:

 
 

Then draw within the selection. The selection will make sure that the brush strokes will not be out of it.

This is what we have so far:

 
 

Step 6:

 

New layer, use Magic Wand Tool with same way above to click within the shadow of text:

 

Choose Edit-Stroke:

 

Apply Gassian blur with 1 px and we get:

 
 

Step 7:

 

New layer and place it under text layer. Use splatter brushes with black color to draw splatter effect using your imagination:

 
 

Step 8:

 

I create 4 new layers, use floral swirl brushes to paint on the pic. You can transform them to get the result you like.

 
 

Step 9:

 

Come back to text layer, apply Drop Shadow:

 
 
 

Step 10:

 

New layer, use linear brushes, number 767 with 1000 px to draw on the pic:

 

Lower Opacity to 40%. Move it under splatter brushes layer, above the background. Add Layer Mask to erase some part like the pic below:

 
 

Step 11:

 

New selective color layer on the top:
Reds: -100, 64, 20, -9
Blues: 36, 25, -100, 0
Magentas: -100, 80, 76, 0
Whites: -100, -52, -100, -69
