Step 31

Extract sphere and move it above the right hand of model:

I use layer mask and soft black brush with opacity about 50-60% painting on the middle section to make this part look almost transparent:

Step 32

Change color of this sphere with Color Balance layer (Clipping Mask):

Step 33

Create a new layer on the top, use lightning brush with white color, number 920 to paint on picture, then flip and warp it to make it look like coming from left hand to right hand. I use layer mask to remove unecessary parts:

Right click this layer, choose Blending Options-Outer Glow with default settings:

Step 34

Open lens flare pack. Choose the first one and drag it into our document, resize and transform it as shown below:

Set the mode to Screen 100% and use layer mask to remove rough edges of it:

Change color of this light with Photo Filter layer (Clipping Mask):

Step 35

Choose the 9th from this stock pack and position it on the sphere center, change the mode to Screen 100%, remove unwanted light with layer mask:

Add a Photo Filter layer with same settings in previous step for the light rays:

Step 36

Choose the 6th from lens flare pack and do the same as we did in previous steps to add sparks to the sphere:

Step 37

I use new layer and brush with color #ecb08f and paint on sphere then set the mode to Hard Light 50%:

Step 38

In this and next steps we'll add reflected light from this magical light to environment and subjects around. Create some layers under sphere one. On the first I choose brush color as #854a15 and paint under sphere, the right hand parts, model face, left hand, hat, hair following the rule: The further, the less. Change the mode to Color Dodge 100%:

On the second, I use brush color as #ecb08f and paint on the right arm of model. Set the mode to Color 80%:

Step 39

I add a Selective Color layer (under sphere one) to make the light tone stronger:

Step 40

To make the light focus, create a new layer on the top. Apply Radiant Gradient Tool with black and white color:

Change the mode to Soft Light 100% and use layer mask to reduce dark effect on the parts shown below:
