In this Photoshop Tutorial, you will learn how to use brushes, blending modes and cut and paste techniques to create a surreal photo manipulation.

Step 1:

 

Cut the "object" (as shown in the image below) and paste it on a new layer. Name the layer "path". Use Eraser Tool (E) with hardness=0 to erase the right side of the object.

 
 
 

Step 2:

 

Place the clouds image over the path layer.

 
 
 

Step 3:

 

Cut another object from the piano as shown in the image below.

 
 
 

Step 4:

 

Place it over the clouds layer and behind the path layer. Name the layer "strings".

Now we will use step and repeat process.

Select the strings layer. Press Ctrl+Alt+T. Drag the string to left. Reduce the size of the string. Don't reduce it too much.

Now press Shift+Ctrl+Alt+T. You will get something as shown in the image below.

 
 
 

Step 5:

 

Cut the Girl playing Violin from the source image. Place it on the top most layer. Name the layer "girl". Go to Edit-transformation-flip horizontal. Use Transformation Tool to adjust the Violin player.

 
 
 

Step 6:

 

Place the plants and adjust their size.

 
 
 

Step 7:

 

NowNow we need a brush of heart shape. Press Ctrl+N, change the width and height to 400px and background contents to transparent.

 
 
 

Step 8:

 

Drag the Heart shape from custom shapes. Fill it with black color.

 
 
 

Step 09:

 

Go to Edit-define brush preset. Name it heart.

 
 
 

Step 10:

 

Change the shape dynamic of the brush.

Angle Jitter - 100%

Size jitter - 100%

 
 
 

Step 11:

 

Click the check box to activate Scattering option.

Count: 1

Count jitter: 0%

 
 
 

Step 12:

 

Take a new layer "hearts".

Reduce the brush size to 85px. Change the foreground color to #bf0000. Reduce the layer opacity to 45%. Now use brush tool to spread hearts.

 

Step 13:

 

Take a new layer place it on the top of all layers. Fill it with #9e9f43. Reduce the Layer Opacity to 50%. Change the Layer Blending Mode to Vivid Colors.

 
 

Final Result:
